Our Successes
The success in any recovery effort is the result of the combined motivation and hard work by the patient, their family, and the treatment team which guides, encourages, and supports the patient's hard work. We understand what recovery from an eating disorder demands.
Treatment at Center for Change improves the lives of those who come here. Ongoing outcome studies performed from August 1996 through July 2003 show that our patients were able to significantly decrease psychological distress and negative eating disorder beliefs and behaviors, as well as improve body-image and the ability to actively engage in self care. Specifically, research shows that the majority of Center For Change patients recovered from their eating disorder or significantly reduced the presence of an eating disorder in their lives, greatly improved their attitudes about food, eating, and their bodies, gained marked improvements in relationship harmony, positive self-esteem, life direction and satisfaction, and in reduction of depression, anxiety, and other addictive patterns, and regained their desire and ability to live full and productive lives again.
