Description of Presentation:
Despite consistent research citing a very strong relationship between Binge Eating Disorder and chronic struggles with weight, both our country and our eating disorder field continue to offer simplistic treatments that address one variable without the other.
The result? An ineffective response to clients’ disheartened calls for desired change in both their relationship with food and their relationship with their body.
Since 2013, eating disorder specialists, Dr. Julie T. Anné and Dr. Ashley Southard, have dedicated their psychological hearts to cultivating a thorough and liberating path for clients to finally end their chronic struggles with food, weight, and their Body-Self. Through this work, they’ve been given a privileged peek inside the mind of an emotional eater, and have had the joy of creating comprehensive and compassion-driven treatment models that offer true internal healing of the Body-Self vs mere symptom reduction.
Join us as we take you Inside the Mind of an Emotional Eater© for a hopeful conversation about the psychology of Binge Eating Disorder and, mostly importantly, “The Deeper Work” for Full Recovery© ~ the necessary underlying psychological work that creates lasting change from the inside out ~ as a fresh and necessary component to lasting, full recovery from emotional and binge eating and effective Emotion-Focused Weight Care©.
