Kay Gingras
Kay grew up in Ferguson, MO. She often tells students, “I’m from Missouri, you’ve got to show me”. She attended the University of Missouri for 3 years before transferring to and eventually graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in Biology. She completed a Master’s of Science in Education from Brigham Young University in 1988 and has taught ever since. Classes she has taught include Life Science, Physical Science, Earth Systems, Biology and Honors Biology in Alpine School District. She has also co-taught the Science Methods class at Utah Valley University where she helped supervise student teachers. Currently she is teaching two 7th grade Integrated Science classes at a local Junior High and Chemistry at the Center for Change. Kay’s family is the delight of her life. She has five grown children, twenty-three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Birthdays and holidays can get pretty chaotic.
