I want to inform you of some very exciting and positive changes here at Center For Change.
We are pleased to announce that on December 7th, 2005, we became a part of Universal Health Services, Inc. The UHS Behavioral Health Division is the nations largest provider of inpatient behavioral health services, operating 101 behavioral health facilities in 29 states and Puerto Rico.
The UHS network will bring to the Center expanded network of contacts, resources, and systems of support, as well as a volume of experience in the field which has come from providing quality treatment through the test of time.
Center For Change will continue, as it has over the past 10 years, to provide excellent specialized treatment for eating disorders at every level of treatment, in a comprehensive and well developed system of care.
I am happy to announce that five of the original six founders and directors of the Center for Change will continue working at the Center, including Jeff Anderson, Randy K. Hardman, PhD, Julie B Clark PhD, David K. Anderson MD, and Myself. I will continue as the CEO and Executive Director of the Center.
Two years ago, we augmented our Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Care by adding a new facility for longer term and “step down” residential care. This residential clinical program also houses Cascade Mountain High School, a Northwest Accredited school. In our treatment of adult and adolescent women with eating disorders, we have at the Center, over ten years of specialized experience and we are grateful to have a reputation for providing excellent clinical care.
We embrace this positive change, which over time will expand the breadth of our services, increase national awareness of who and where we are, and together we will assure the continuance of integrity and quality in the provision of care.
