About the Presenter:

LeAnne Tolley began working as a yoga teacher at the Center for Change in 2001. She received her Masters Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Psychology and is currently the Director of Experiential Therapies. Her background in Complementary Alternative Medicine has allowed LeAnne to combine her training in anatomy and physiology with her experience as a yoga therapist to create a more holistic approach to healthcare. Along with other managerial duties, LeAnne teaches yoga, strength training, and her trademarked program RIMBA. The focus of this work is to help individuals create healthy, balanced lives through “functional fluidity”. She is a frequent lecturer on exercise addiction and loves to help individuals find their way back to joyful movement and vibrant longevity.

Center for Change has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6766. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Center for Change is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Center for Change, provider #141861 is a continuing professional education (CPE) accredited provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Activity #177786. CDR credentialed practitioners will receive one continuing professional education unit (CPEU) for completion of this activity.

AADE recognizes NASW, APA, and CDR as continuing education providers on the NCBDE list of recognized approved providers. The continuing education must be applicable to diabetes. Participants are responsible for contacting their respective state and discipline licensing boards to confirm acceptance of CE hours.

Description of Presentation:

This webinar is designed to discuss how emotions affect the physical body and introduce the practice of Chakra energy mapping to help identify physical symptoms that may be linked to emotional distress. Additionally, learning to increasing Emotional Intelligence through the practice of mind/body data gathering to accurately identify physical response to emotions.

Learning Objectives:

Based on the content of the workshop participants will be able to:

1.Describe the Mind/Body disconnect created by Eating Disorders (ED) and other mental health issues

2.Explain the connection between emotional energy and the physical body

3.Discuss simple mindfulness practices to release emotional energy from the physical body and clarify emotional wording connected to body sensation

Training For:

Staff of Hospitals, Medical Centers, Mental Health Clinics, General Medicine Physicians, Psychiatrists, APRN’s, Psychologists, Counselors, Dietitians, Nurses, Substance Abuse Counselors, Mental Health Technicians for all levels including introductory to advanced.
