Thank You For Your Support of Our Regional Workshop, Community Event & Alumni Reunion

Center for Change hosted a Regional Workshop for professionals, an alumni reunion, and a free community event July 14-15, 2011. The Regional Workshop featured eating disorder specialist and clinical psychologist, Johanna Marie McShane, PhD, as well as our own Dr. Michael Berrett. The theme of the workshop was addressing self esteem and body image issues in adolescents and young adults. Attendees included therapists, school psychologists, dietitians, university counselors, and treatment providers from all over the region.

The Center’s community event included Jenni Schaefer and Michael Berrett, PhD talking about how to help a loved one who is in an addictive process while still taking care of yourself. It was an incredible evening of hope and support for those struggling and their family members.

Center for Change was honored to have a record number of alumni return for our annual reunion. It was such a joy to see familiar faces and hear about how their lives have changed for the positive as they work towards and enjoy the blessings of recovery. The day was filled with happy reunions, service, socializing, reconnecting with CFC staff, and a presentation by Jenni Schaefer – complete with a touching song, “I Miss Me” from Jenni’s new CD.

We are so grateful to all of the professionals, community members, and alumni who attended our events and made each one a great success!
