Bulimia Treatment
Help with Bulimia Treatment
Upon your arrival, a doctor and team of expertly trained caregivers will assess your situation and together you will help them come up with a bulimia treatment plan that will help you on your road to recovery. Your bulimia treatment may include group, individual and family therapies; a healthy meal and exercise plan to help you get back to an ideal weight and ideas for not binge eating or purging. This will be done by a certified dietician who will help to educate you through a series of exercises so you will not fear food and once again gain a healthy relationship with your body and the food it needs for survival.
Center for Change provides physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, registered nurses, clinical therapists, dieticians, and care technicians in the help for bulimia treatment. Using a very aggressive, structured and comprehensive treatment plan, however, we couple this arrangement with a great deal of emotional support and compassion and comfort for each patient going through such a difficult time in their lives.
Many women with eating disorders resist treatment, especially in the beginning of their illness because they think if they can just get thin enough, everything will be great in their lives. They will have the happiness that has eluded them up until that moment. Their self-esteem will skyrocket if the number on the scale is low enough. Eventually they realize being thin enough is not enough and they will agree to come to bulimia treatment.
