Gerry Baird is the clinical director of the adult residential unit and a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC). He earned a Master of Professional Counseling degree from Grand Canyon University in 2020. Prior to joining the Center for Change team, he spent two years working with a variety of therapy clients at a Utah-based group practice providing outpatient services. While finishing his counseling degree, Gerry completed trainings in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. He has extensive experience using these modalities to work with trauma. After two years of doing general outpatient work, he decided to specialize in treating eating disorders and is currently pursuing the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) certification. In his spare time, Gerry enjoys reading, playing piano, being outdoors, and spending time with family.
