Anna Horton LCSW
Anna Horton was thrilled to get hired as a therapist at Center for Change as it allows her to pursue life goals to work with individuals impacted by an eating disorder and/or type one diabetes. She saw a lack of resources and understanding for these populations and sought to gain experience and expertise to be able to provide effective solutions.
Anna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and received her Bachelor’s of Social Work degree from the University of Utah and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University. Her academic research focused on how diabetes management is influenced by family dynamics. While in school she participated in promoting awareness and education about eating disorders through an organization called SPEAK – Students Promoting Eating Disorder Awareness and Knowledge.
Anna’s therapy work has focused on eating disorders (including diabulimia), depression, anxiety, addiction, diabetes, kidney disease, and other chronic medical conditions. She has worked with clients in outpatient, IOP, PHP, RTC, and inpatient levels of care.
While she loves gaining knowledge, she has a life filled with many interests. In her free time, you can find her reading, writing, visiting the library, shopping, playing the violin, giving service, observing nature, and spending time with loved ones.
