Jill Parr LCSW
Jill was born in Michigan and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Michigan State University, and a Master of Social Work from Western New Mexico University. Jill comes from an elite sports background as both an athlete and a coach and has witnessed many talented athletes suffer from eating disorders and paralyzing perfectionism. Jill’s experiences led to a passion for helping those struggling with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, perfectionism, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, as well as trauma. Her therapeutic approach includes elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotional Interviewing. Jill is also working on finishing up her training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In her spare time Jill loves spending time with animals, hiking, traveling, and gardening.
