Sarah Hubbard, PhD
Dr. Sarah Hubbard is a licensed clinical psychologist who has focused her career on treatment for individuals with eating disorders. She earned her Ph.D. from American University in 1999 and completed her pre-doctoral internship at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA. Before joining Center for Change in 2011 she spent eleven years working at the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt, in Baltimore, MD, where she provided outpatient psychotherapy, supervised developing psychologists, and managed several NIMH-funded research studies on the genetics of anorexia nervosa. She has a special interest in Integral Psychotherapy and has written academically about how to organize and unite competing approaches of psychotherapy into a coherent whole. Working from a ground of relatedness and presence, she utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, and psychodynamic approaches in treatment. Participating with patients in the difficult process of healing is her true passion. She provides individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents and adults at Center for Change across the spectrum of care.
