Evan C. Coates, LCSW
A native of Utah, Evan completed his undergraduate schooling at Utah State University, receiving the Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and a minor in Sociology. He then completed his Master degree in Social Work from University of South Carolina. Evan completed a hospital-based internship in Columbia, South Carolina at the William Hall Psychiatric Institute treating children and adolescence with pervasive developmental disorders as with other childhood related disorders. He also conducted research on Hemophilia and Tuberculosis with the Family Institute in Society, subsidiary of the University of South Carolina. Upon completion of his graduate work he moved back to Utah where he currently resides with his wife and two children. Throughout his career he has worked with individuals who have suffered from addiction, sexual disorders, and childhood disorders. Evan joined the Center’s staff because he knew that his past experiences with substance abuse, family trauma, and eating disorders would assist in the recovery of those suffering from eating disorders.
