FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CENTER FOR CHANGE ANNOUNCES TRICARE CERTIFICATION FOR RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT

May 2, 2011, Orem, Utah

Center for Change, a nationally known and respected eating disorder treatment program, is now a certified TRICARE provider!

Center for Change has become a certified provider for the residential (RTC) level of care and will treat active duty military, their family members, as well as eligible dependents of retirees.

Center for Change is the first specialty hospital of its kind to receive TRICARE certification for residential treatment. CEO and Co-founder, Dr. Michael E. Berrett, explains, "Research shows that eating disorder treatment is more effective when rendered in a specialized environment of care rather than on a general psychiatric unit or hospital medical floor. We saw a void in treatment options at the residential level for those who suffer with an eating disorder and are under the TRICARE umbrella of services, and we set out to fill that void."

Center for Change is a Joint Commission Accredited specialty hospital that treats adolescent and adult women with eating disorder issues, as well as concurrent illnesses including depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and addiction. The Center offers all levels of care, including inpatient and day & evening programs. Dr. Berrett continues, "Our active duty military members, as well as their families, make tremendous sacrifices for our Country every day. We feel extremely humbled and honored to provide a place of hope and healing for those who sacrifice so much."
