Art Show Focuses on Eating Disorders
September 11, 2000, Orem, Utah- Foundation for Change is pleased to sponsor Exquisite Pain- Exquisite Joy, an art show featuring works of art from women recovering from Anorexia and Bulimia. The artwork vividly portrays the hopeless feelings, paralyzing fears, and bleak world of those who suffer from an eating disorder. It also shows the rich hues, beauty and joy of a healthy mind and body. Various mediums are used including watercolor, clay, and plaster. The show will debut at the Springville Art Museum on October 1, 2000 and will continue through the end of the month. The public is invited to an opening reception at the museum on October 4, 2000 at 6:00 p.m., where many of the artists will be in attendance. Selected works from this show will also be featured at Art Access in Salt Lake City from October 18- November 10, 2000.
Foundation for Change is dedicated to increased awareness, preventative education, treatment research, and promoting the role of spirituality in the recovery of eating disorders. All artwork from the show will be available for purchase with proceeds going to Foundation for Change.
