In addition, eating disorders are defined by either limiting your food intake or over eating. Basically, if you have an eating disorder, you have an almost obsessive urge to either avoid eating or eat a lot, both which have harmful side affects. Anorexia nervosa, also known as anorexia or ana, is an eating disorder where you and other people, women and men, basically starve yourself in order to stay thin. If and when you do eat, you may purge or use diuretics to get rid of the food and you may exercise excessively in order to burn calories.

ANOREXIA IS A MENTAL DISEASE

It could have been a small comment on your weight, you could feel guilty about something you did, you may have just felt the need to lose weight and lost control of your dieting, or it could be something much deeper, like a need to control something in your life.
