  Hey all y'all...
If you are in the area (utah county or salt lake county) and have a good recommendation for a therapist... please let me know. My therapist will be moving in August and I'm trying to keep my ears open for a good one. Thanks for the help!

Hey Sheryl! Sorry to hear you have to switch therapists again -- that stinks! But I can highly recommend both Michelle Troche and Paul George. Both are affiliated with the CFC but not employed by them; they are in Eagle Plaza, right in front of the Center, and they contract with them for billing, scheduling, etc. I think they are both accepting new clients, and both are excellent! Paul is LDS, not sure about Michelle, but both include a spiritual aspect to therapy if you want. Just call the Center to set up an appointment if you want to give either one a try (224-8255).

  hey sheryl-
its been forever! i don't know of anyone up here in salt lake since i still make the regular voyage down to cfc, but i definitely want to put my plug in for michelle troche. i saw her for a year before going inpatient, and although i wasn't wanting recovery at the time, i know she's a great therapist! she is a wonderful listener and is just so sweet! she's an LCSW if that makes a difference with your insurance, and got at least one of her degrees from BYU, so i'm assuming she's LDS if that makes any difference for you personally. good luck with everything. i love you lots! thanks for posting those lyrics. you're amazing!

  hi girly!
I miss seeing your smily face around! Well, just a few months ago i was in your position looking for a therapist in Salt Lake. Let me tell you how frustrated i got when trying to find one first of all then how to know who was good and had experience with ed. Luckily i finally found one so i am excited to share. The office is in Cotton Wood Heights and is called Wasatch Mental Health. (not the provo one you may have heard of!) They have a web site for more info at www.wasatchmentalhealth.com.
I am currently seeing Kimi and i think she has done an awsome job helping me along. She has some diffrent ways of doing therapy vs what i was use to at cfc which i like for it gives me a new way to aproach things. Julie is another therapist there and she is amazing too. She works alot with using music and writting in therapy... i know you love to sing so that may be really fun to try. They do a Tuesday night group as well if you are looking for more support. They do just have females in their office so do be aware of that just incase your looking for a male therapist.
Good luck in your search! I hope this helps!
