  Dear Everyone:

I was wondering what some of you all are doing this summer? What fun and interesting things are you all doing?

I've been doing a lot of reading, some online classes and looking at different ways to be more creative in my life.

I hope that you all are having a wonderful summer.

Blessings,

Sis

School and work, same as any other time of year. I also have been reaching out more socially and developing more friendships. I think I will do some hiking and camping the later part of July and August. Recovery and, like you, creativity continue to be high on my list as well.

What ways have you found to be creative?

I, amazingly, still love to collage. I also am reading a book called "The Artistic Way" by Julia Cameron that outlines how to tap into the creative side (especially for us hopelessly left-brained people!). I haven't started using any of the suggestions yet, am still reading it through.

  Dear This Is Me:

I am really glad to hear that you are reaching out socially and developing more friendships. I think developing friendship and getting out socially really propels someone in recovery forward in many good ways. I am very glad to hear that about you.

Collage! I still collage too. I enjoy it so much and I have a very nice (small) collection of collage books and some collage art. I still consider myself a novice but I enjoy working at it.

I am also reading Julia Cameron's the Artist Way -- fabulous,,, really great stuff. Stick with it. I think that you really like it. Makes you feel more and get into your heart and out of your head.

I hope you enjoy your camping,,,, make sure you have fun!

Blessings,

Sis

I just finished finals for school and have three blissful weeks free. I am looking into getting a rock climbing membership, tap dancing lessons, and swimming lessons. Go me. :)
